Tennessee Titans (1-1) at Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2)

Thursday, September 19, 8:20PM ET

The wheels are coming close for the Jacksonville Jaguars. After two losses to begin the season, things are unraveling. The defense hasn’t played up to his potential, and Gardner Minshew has played well but struggles to put points on the board. Now, Jaylen Ramsey has requested a trade.

If my prediction comes true in Week 3, things are only going to get worse before they get better for the Jags. That’s because the Tennessee Titans are coming to town, and they’re no slouch — at least based off of what we’ve seen through the first two contests of their 2019 campaign.

Yes, they suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. Despite that, the offense has shown well with a well-balanced attack led by Marcus Mariota and Derrick Henry. Meanwhile, the defense has largely picked up where it left off a season ago, showing out as a potential dominant bunch.

Against a rookie quarterback with limited weapons out wide, the Titans should have the edge. It will be closer than you’d think on paper with another brave performance by Minshew, but Tennessee walks away with the victory in hand after a strong performance from Mariota and Co.

Prediction: Titans win 21-16
