Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) at Buffalo Bills (2-0)

Sunday, September 22, 1PM ET

I wasn’t buying the Buffalo Bills to start the season, and am still not entirely on board. Yes, they’ve gotten off to a surprise 2-0 start, but it’s not like they’ve beaten a couple of playoff shoe-ins up to this points. Wins over the New York Jets and New York Giants aren’t all that impressive.

Still, they’ve shown resilience through the first two weeks. We can’t say that about too many other clubs, even this early in the season. And as luck would have it, they’re slated to face off against a Cincinnati Bengals team that is a long way from postseason contention heading into Week 3.

The offense shouldn’t have too much trouble getting going against Cincinnati. If the San Francisco 49ers can manage 41 points against the Bengals, the Bills should be able to do similar damage. Look for Buffalo to lean heavily on the ground game, giving young runner Devin Singletary plenty of opportunities to impress. Josh Allen may make a play or two as well.

In the end, though, it’ll be the Bengals’ overall weaknesses that cost them. Andy Dalton will do his best, but their lack of offensive weapons and inability to slow opposing running backs (165.5 rushing yards allowed per game) should force them to fall to 0-3.

Prediction: Bills win 31-21
