1. Pat Shurmur

Replacing an experienced quarterback with two Super Bowl titles on his resume with a rookie quarterback is a bold move for Pat Shurmur, but maybe the New York Giants head coach believes this is what could save his job.

Embarrassing doesn’t even begin to describe how the Giants have looked through the first two weeks after losses to both the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills.

To top it off, a favorable meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3 all of a sudden looks to be a little more difficult when considering that Bruce Arians and company are coming off an impressive Week 2 win over the Carolina Panthers.

Daniel Jones showed plenty of potential at times during the preseason for New York, and could very well turn into a great quarterback one day, but a move like this by Shurmur makes it seem like the Giants are already giving up on 2019.

Even if the argument can be made that Jones needs all of the experience he can get at this point, this seems like a move that should be made a few weeks from now instead of the middle of September, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out for Shurmur.
