20. Dolphins, Jets each lose by 30+ points

To say that both the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets are long shots to end up winning in Week 3 would be a huge understatement since it seems like only a matter of weeks before both teams are looking ahead to the draft in the spring.

More from NFL Spin Zone

While the Dolphins are coming off an embarrassing 43-0 loss to the New England Patriots in front of their own fans, the Jets just can’t seem to catch a break in the injury department when it comes to their quarterbacks.

New York was already at a major disadvantage losing Sam Darnold to mono, but now that Trevor Siemian (ankle) is going to miss the remainder of the season after suffering an injury against the Cleveland Browns, the Jets will rely on Luke Falk moving forward.

With all due respect to Falk since the quarterback could always end up shocking the NFL world, the chances of him leading the Jets to a win over the Patriots seems as likely as Tom Brady retiring in the middle of the regular season.

Unfortunately for Miami, the team is in a similar situation with a meeting on the road against the red-hot Dallas Cowboys.

Seeing how the first two weeks have played out, if both contests ended up being over by halftime for the Dolphins and Jets in Week 3, this shouldn’t come as a shock at all.
