What’s left to prove?

Since he was drafted by the Steelers in 2004, Ben Roethlisberger’s career in the NFL has been full of moments that most players can only dream of having.

More from NFL Spin Zone

During his first 15 seasons with Pittsburgh, Roethlisberger has helped the team win two Super Bowls, he’s been voted to six Pro Bowls, and he’s been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week 17 times.

He also owns numerous Steelers’ all-time records including the marks for career passing yards, career passing touchdowns, passing yards in a single-season, and passing touchdowns in a single-season. Roethlisberger has accomplished pretty much everything Pittsburgh thought he would when they used a first-round draft pick on him in 2004.

Considering all that he’s achieved already, what would be the point of him returning to the field in 2020? He’s already won two championships and helped the Steelers remain one of the top teams in the league since the start of the 21st century.

Maybe Roethlisberger would like one more shot at another Super Bowl victory. However, it’s not like he’s not going to get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame because he was only able to help Pittsburgh win two Super Bowls and not three.
