4. Titans, Jaguars combine for 10+ sacks

If there’s one thing that we’ve seen from both the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars to this point, it’s been some relatively weak offensive line play. Both teams are currently dealing with absences as Taylor Lewan is still suspended for Tennessee while Cam Robinson is already banged up for Jacksonville.

Last week, Gardner Minshew was sacked four times by the Texans and Houston also logged seven total quarterback hits. On the flip-side, Marcus Mariota was taken down four times by the Colts last week and was harassed by the Cleveland Browns the week before. Put simply, it’s not been a disaster on the offensive front for either team, but it’s certainly not been good either.

What makes that interesting, though, is that the defensive pass rush for both of these teams is quite strong. The likes of Calais Campbell and rookie Josh Allen have been making an impact for the Jaguars already. Meanwhile, veteran Cameron Wake and young Harold Landry have been feasting for the Titans, specifically in their Week 1 matchup against Cleveland, who also has a porous O-line.

When you combine all of these factors, both Minshew and Mariota are going to see the turf quite a bit on Thursday night at TIAA Bank Field. At the end of the game, the two teams will combine for at least 10 sacks with strong defensive showings from each team — at least against the pass.
