3. Los Angeles Rams (4)

It wasn’t pretty, but the Los Angeles Rams got the job done on Sunday Night Football. Facing a young and hungry Cleveland Browns team, the Rams found themselves in quite a fight as they were held to just three points in the first half.

The Browns defense stifled them throughout the first 30 minutes as they were doing all they could to score the upset. However, head coach Sean McVay did what he’s famous for and made some adjustments at the half.

Los Angeles came out of the break with a plan to move the ball and it worked to the tune of 75 yards on 10 plays. That one was capped off with a Cooper Kupp touchdown from Goff. They scored a couple series later after Cleveland took the lead back as Kupp again hauled in a touchdown from Goff.

The defense ended up having to hold things out though as Goff turned the ball over late, allowing the Browns to get within striking distance. A 10-play drive ended when safety John Johnson intercepted Baker Mayfield in the end zone on a fourth-down pass.

Now at 3-0, the Rams are all alone in first place in the NFC West with a home game scheduled for Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers up next. They’re the defending NFC champions and they continue to be the best in the conference until proven otherwise.
