4. Dallas Cowboys (5)

For the first time since 2008, the Dallas Cowboys are 3-0 after they knocked off the Miami Dolphins by a score of 31-6. They gave their fans a scare as they were up 10-6 at the half and had to make a couple of great plays near the goal line to keep that lead going into the intermission.

Their defense allowed Miami to move the ball well in the first half and the offense was struggling to find some rhythm. Both sides ended up making some adjustments at the break and it was a completely different game after that.

Dak Prescott finished with 246 yards and three total touchdowns while wide receiver Amari Cooper had two touchdown receptions on six receptions. Defensively, they had sacks from both DeMarcus Lawrence and Robert Quinn and added a third as Kerry Hyder and Maliek Collins combined for one as well.

If there is any knock on this team going forward, it has to be the play of their secondary. They cleaned things up in the second half but they struggled more with Preston Williams than they should have. They also continue to be a team that can’t create interceptions.

They’re still doing great but being able to make the splash defensive plays is what they need when they start playing better teams than they have throughout the first three weeks.
