Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2) at Denver Broncos (0-3)

Sunday, September 29, 4:25PM ET

Things haven’t gone well for either of these clubs in 2019. The Denver Broncos have tanked the first three games, while the Jacksonville Jaguars have limped along to 1-2. The only good thing to come from this campaign this far is the emergence of cult legend Gardner Minshew.

I don’t think we’ve seen the second-coming of Tom Brady, but Minshew has certainly done a commendable job despite being thrust into a less-than-ideal starting situation. The rookie gunslinger has far exceeded expectations despite limited offensive weapons to work with, and has Jaguars fans believing in his future — despite having Nick Foles on the roster.

So the question here is, can Minshew win the battle with Joe Flacco, a former Super Bowl MVP? I’m predicting that the answer to that question will be “yes.” Between Minshew’s smart, efficient passing and Jacksonville’s skilled defense, there are enough pieces in place for the Jaguars to improve to 2-2 on Sunday.

Chances are it’ll come down to the final minute or two, as many of these teams’ games have in 2019. Based on what we’ve seen this season, though, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Broncos fall short on the final drive, giving the Jaguars a much-needed road victory.

Prediction: Jaguars win 17-13
