Stud: Jordan Howard

Much has been said about the Eagles run game to this point, from the lack of a true featured back to their general ineffectiveness through the start of the 2019 season. Jordan Howard, who Philadelphia acquired via offseason trade, put that to rest on Thursday night.

Howard, facing a former division rival, was phenomenal in Week 4. He ran tough between the tackles and gave Philadelphia tough yardage to help move the chains. However, he was also dynamic in space, working in the weak areas of the Green Bay defense and making plays, and big plays at that.

The running back was the Eagles’ most productive offensive player, registering 15 carries for 87 yards and two touchdowns while also catching three of his four targets for 28 yards and another touchdown.

Stud: Doug Pederson

This was a masterful performance from Eagles head coach Doug Pederson. You can certainly look through every decision that was made and question it. Pederson probably should’ve gone for it on a fourth-and-3 from the Green Bay 47-yard line in the first half. He probably shouldn’t have gone for two to try and make it a two-possession game. He probably should’ve challenged a highly questionable late-game catch by Dan Vitale.

On the whole, though, Pederson called an incredible game. His use of space against this talented Green Bay defense to both create running lanes and find passing lanes with a depleted group of pass-catchers was nothing short of phenomenal. He’s regarded as one of the most creative and aggressive offensive minds in the NFL and he put it on display in the win over the Packers.
