Stud: De’Vondre Campbell

The first stud for the Atlanta Falcons in their Week 4 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon was linebacker De’Vondre Campbell. Campbell led all defenders in the game with 17 total tackles to pace the Falcons on the defensive side of the ball, recording seven solo tackles in the defeat. He also forced two fumbles in the game.

The next Falcons defender with the most total tackles in the contest behind Campbell was Kemal Ishmael, who finished with nine tackles in the game. So far this season, Campbell has tallied a total of 38 tackles for Atlanta and has continued to be a bright spot within the Falcons defensive group through four games.

Dud: Falcons run game

The first dud that appeared in the loss for the Falcons on Sunday afternoon at home was their effort on the ground and within the run game. Devonta Freeman led the Atlanta running back group with a total of 28 yards rushing on 12 total carries. Overall as a unit, however, the Falcons were only able to tally a total of 58 yards and one touchdown on the ground in the loss.

There’s no doubt that this Atlanta team is a very pass-heavy team, but the Falcons are going to need their running game to step up from here on out to help bring a balance to the offense and in return help open things up offensively throughout the course of a game.
