11. Jones suffers first loss of NFL career

Back in April, the New York Giants took plenty of heat for their decision to select Daniel Jones when considering there seemed to be better quarterbacks available, but no one is questioning the decision anymore.

After helping the Giants earn two wins in a row after replacing Eli Manning at quarterback, Jones will look to keep the magic going in Week 5 with the Minnesota Vikings coming to town.

Even though the Giants and Vikings will enter the weekend with the same record, it’s safe to say that Minnesota is on the verge of desperation mode after an embarrassing loss in Week 4 to the Chicago Bears.

Sure, the Bears’ defense is one of the best in the league for a reason, but even before the contest, the Vikings weren’t exactly living up to the high expectations.

Sometimes when desperation kicks in, this results in teams elevating their game to new levels, and if this turns out to be the case for Minnesota, New York could be in trouble.

As great as Jones has looked over the last two weeks for the Giants, that first loss for the rookie is going to come at some point, and if the Vikings come out firing, it could even be on Sunday.
