We all know just how good the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense is. Led by the 2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes at quarterback, the Chiefs can hang with any team offensively. They will be even better once wide receiver Tyreek Hill returns from injury.

However, the defense still needs some work. New defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has begun to remake the unit and his image but the talent level on the roster can be improved. Spagnuolo’s unit, the secondary, needs the most help. So why not acquire a cornerback who is already a solid No. 2 with the potential to be a No. 1?

Trae Waynes was a first-round pick a few years ago and has steadily grown into a dependable starter for Mike Zimmer’s defense in Minnesota. Well, if the Vikings make a trade for another cornerback (which we will be discussing here shortly), he won’t have a starting spot.

In Kansas City, he could easily be their No. 1 corner. Not a bad way to spend their third-rounder for next year, right?

Yes, A.J. Green is currently out after having minor ankle surgery. And yes, he also missed a handful of games last year. However, just imagine the veteran wide receiver in the same offense as Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. How many fantasy points would that offense produce on a weekly basis? Bet that got your attention.

Once he returns from injury, Green will likely once again assume his role as the No. 1 receiver in Cincinnati. However, he wouldn’t have to be that top guy in Green Bay. He could instead be one of the league’s best No. 2 receivers, if not it’s best. It would make the Packers’ attack under head coach Matt LaFleur much more diverse and dangerous, plus it would likely revitalize Green’s career.

And in the case of the Bengals, they would get draft capital to help with a necessary looming rebuild.
