5. Teddy Bridgewater throws for 2 touchdowns

In Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, Teddy Bridgewater looked like he was getting back to form. While he didn’t execute many long passes, Bridgewater did play better than he did against the Rams and exceeded expectations.

The same can’t be said for when he went up against the Dallas Cowboys defense. Even though the Saints won, it felt more like Bridgewater was backsliding than improving as he should.

However, Week 5 gives Bridgewater another chance and this time, I have faith in Bridgewater so I predict that he’ll end up the game with two touchdowns. Against the Seahawks, Bridgewater threw his lone two touchdowns of the season, completed 19 of his 27 passes and threw for just over 175 yards. It was a reawakening for the offense who had floundered the previous week against the Rams.

Bridgewater has to step it up as the team can’t always rely on their defense to get them out of a jam. He should be confident enough by now to lead the team more effectively. It’s not going to be easy, but thankfully, he has a lot of guys that he can throw to or hand the ball off, too. The major improvement that Bridgewater has to make in Week 5 is to take more risks, especially when it comes to passing.

If he can put together some impressive drives with passes over 20 yards, then the offense should get some of their momenta back. Week 5 is the chance for Bridgewater to shut his critics up and that he can properly utilize guys such as Michael Thomas and Jared Cook.
