For the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings tire of Captain Mediocre Kirk Cousins and go a new direction with Joe Burrow in this Week 5 NFL Mock Draft.

Leading into Week 5, one of the biggest storylines in the NFL has been the Minnesota Vikings. Between the drama surrounding Stefon Diggs and the rest of the franchise and, perhaps more importantly, the general unrest around Kirk Cousins, things are happening with this team. And they’re happening enough to color what will happen in the 2020 NFL Draft, at least in this new 2020 NFL Mock Draft.

The $84 million experiment for the Vikings has not worked out for them to this point. Cousins has been as mediocre as can be and, at times, has been even worse. He was supposed to be the piece to take this roster over the top and now he might be what’s holding the roster back. That makes the 2020 NFL Draft an enticing place to look to start moving on.

Given their struggles to start the season, the Vikings own a top-10 pick in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft. And with a quarterback class that includes Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Jordan Love, Jake Fromm, Jalen Hurts and even Jacob Eason, Minnesota should have a good look at players that could potentially be their answer under center for the future.

Of course, the Vikings aren’t the only team looking at a quarterback. You have to believe the Miami Dolphins will unquestionably get after a signal-caller with the first overall pick. However, many an NFL Mock Draft has teams like the Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans and several others considering a quarterback in this rich class as well.

So then, as we enter Week 5, which teams are going to take a quarterback to reset their offense in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft? Outside of that, which teams instead opt for players from a deep 2020 NFL Draft class that can help them beyond quarterback? Let’s get into it.

As always, the draft order has been determined by our weekly power rankings heading into Week 5.
