CB. Philadelphia Eagles. Trevon Diggs. 21. player. 54.

While many fans have been lamenting the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2-2 start to the 2019 season, the fact that they’ve been even that good with their secondary is impressive. They’ve had injuries to that group but it’s also not particularly fearsome to begin with. As such, they take Trevon Diggs with the No. 21 pick in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft. The Alabama cornerback has proven himself this season and has all of the speed and physical length that you want from a player on the outside.

53. . OT. Cleveland Browns. Lucas Niang. 22. player

The Cleveland Browns finally looked something close to what we expected them to in Week 4. Even still, their offensive line in front of Baker Mayfield remains a problem. That leads them to Lucas Niang out of TCU. A versatile and athletic tackle, he’s perfect to come in and be a good fit in a dynamic offense that the Browns would like to have. Niang’s presence would help the Browns get to that place, without question.

player. 49. . WR. Green Bay Packers. Laviska Shenault Jr.. 23

With Davante Adams out in Week 5 due to turf toe, the Green Bay Packers dilemma at receiver is clear. While Marquez Valdes-Scantling and others are fine prospects, they are not players that can step up and shoulder the load either without Adams or alongside him. Laviska Shenault Jr. from Colorado is that type of player, though. His injury issues are slightly concerning but, when healthy, the Buffaloes star is as dynamic as they come and has day-one starter potential.

Detroit Lions. Creed Humphrey. 24. player. 50. . IOL

The Detroit Lions are like a sleeper cell in the NFL this season. Everyone thought it was going to be another mediocre season for Matt Patricia’s team but they’ve proven themselves at every turn thus far. To improve beyond the 2019 campaign, they land Creed Humphrey out of Oklahoma. While this team has invested capital in the interior of the offensive line recently, they can still get better across the board and Humphrey is a player worth doing that in the first round with.
