4. 49ers run game combines for 175+ yards

Despite losing Tevin Coleman to an ankle injury in the first game of the 2019 season, Kyle Shanahan has been able to keep the San Francisco 49ers run game looking strong. In their three victories to start the year, Matt Breida, Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. have combined for 93 carries and 278 yards. Meanwhile, Wilson has four touchdowns on the year.

Breida and Mostert are both averaging 5.5 yards per carry or better on the season to this point. Meanwhile, Coleman is slated to make his return to action on Monday night against the Browns, providing the 49ers with another highly capable running back to get loose. That will prove to be effective again up against Cleveland.

As impressive as the Browns defense has been overall, they have been slightly susceptible in the run game this year. Cleveland is currently conceding 119.8 rushing yards per game to opponents over the first four weeks, though they have improved over the past couple of weeks. Even still, that area of weakness will be attacked by Shanahan.

Though the 49ers are short-handed on the offensive line, Shanahan will commit to the run game and go after the Browns defense with his multi-faceted rushing attack. While there won’t be one particular standout, San Francisco will find success running the ball as their backs combine for 175 yards or more on the ground.
