Stud: Desmond King II

Cornerback and punt return specialist Desmond King was able to demonstrate the speed that helped him earn All-Pro honors last season. During a punt return in the third quarter, King was able to break loose and take the return 68 yards for a touchdown. Having outrun every Broncos player on special teams, the team did not even know what hit them.

His punt return was the brightest sign of life that we saw from the Bolts in the Week 5 loss. Building off his 2.5-sack performance against the Miami Dolphins, King continues to prove that he can contribute as a two-dimensional player for the Los Angeles Chargers.

Stud: Kyzir White

The best interceptions are those that come as a result of great effort and coordination, as was the case for this interception by safety Kyzir White. A result of a pass tipped by defensive tackle Justin Jones, White dove to intercept the ball on the Broncos’ 5-yard line. If not for White’s determination and willingness to go all-out to make the play, there wouldn’t have been a turnover in the first place.

Along with deflecting a pass, the game demonstrated that 23-year old safety has a strong willingness to put his body on the line in order to make plays. As Derwin James remains out, it’s impressive to see White stepping up.
