The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to struggle this season and things got even worse for them when they lost Mason Rudolph following a scary hit that knocked him out. However, they still sent it to overtime against Baltimore, in part due to the play of rookie Delvin Hodges.

And if you’re anything like the majority of NFL fans, you probably wondered who this young man was.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Well, Vinnie Iyer of Sporting News has you covered. He knew we would all wonder who the new quarterback in the Steel City was, so he gave us six facts about the rookie, including the fact that he’s the first quarterback from Samford to make it into the NFL.

"“The Bulldogs have some good NFL representation currently with Panthers cornerback James Bradberry and 49ers safety Jaquiski Tartt. Their best player ever in the league was 2006 seventh-round pick Cortland Finnegan, a one-time first-team All-Pro at cornerback.” — Iyer, Sporting News"

Even with Hodges playing well, the Steelers are now 1-4 on the season and it’s pretty much time to start looking forward to the offseason. There will need to be some changes made, meaning the remainder of this season will be all about trying to decide what changes need to be made in order to get back to playing Steeler football.
