Philadelphia Eagles (3-2) at Minnesota Vikings (3-2)

Sunday, October 13, 1PM ET

At this point in the season, this seems like a fairly even matchup. Both of these squads have been up and down, but have shown the potential to win games when everything is clicking. So who comes away with a key victory as we work our way through the early parts of the 2019 campaign?

Oddly enough, I’m rolling with the Vikings. I know it’s a bold prediction of sorts considering their inconsistent play this year, but what we saw a week ago was promising. If Kirk Cousins can retain his momentum and get Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs involved early, he should be able to out-duel Carson Wentz.

My reasoning behind this is the fact that the Eagles have been beaten consistently through the air this season. They own the best run defense in the league, however, so it’ll fall on Cousins’ shoulders to make the most of every possession and keep the pressure on the Minnesota defense to deliver.

It should come down to who has the ball last. In this scenario, I’m predicting that the Eagles get the final shot, but the Vikings’ fourth-ranked defense steps up and creates the game-sealing turnover.

Prediction: Vikings win 26-23
