New Orleans Saints (4-1) at Jacksonville Jaguars (2-3)

Sunday, October 13, 1PM ET

Despite the loss of Drew Brees, the New Orleans Saints haven’t missed a beat. They’ve looked explosive on their way to a 4-1 start, and continue to take down tough opponents. Now, they head to Florida to take on a Jacksonville Jaguars team that’s better than its record would suggest.

As good as the Jaguars can be at times, though, it won’t be enough against a dynamic Saints squad. Even if Gardner Minshew works more of his magic and Leonard Fournette has another career day, it still won’t be enough to earn a win in Week 6.

Why is that? Because of the Jaguars defense. As solid as Minshew has been despite a plethora of top targets, Jacksonville has stumbled down the standings due in large part to their underwhelming defense. Even with the boatload of talent on that side of the ball, they continue to falter on Sundays.

That’ll again be the case against the Saints. Teddy Bridgewater will work it down the field early and often, opening up room for Alvin Kamara to do his thing on the ground (and through the air). Although this one will be closer than most would assume, the New Orleans defense stiffens in the final minutes to keep from falling victim to the Minshew Magic.

Prediction: Saints win 24-21
