Before the Atlanta Falcons take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6, here are three bold predictions for the Falcons ahead of the game.

Coming into the sixth week of the 2019 NFL regular season this week, the Atlanta Falcons have experienced a large number of struggles early on in the year to this point. After dealing with a schedule filled with a handful of road games outside of Atlanta to kick off the first portion of the regular season slate, the Falcons have struggled to get out to a good start to the 2019 campaign while falling behind the pack nearing the midway point in the year.

In Week 6 before Atlanta will be able to return back to Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta for a stretch of a few home games, the Falcons will have one more road game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon in Glendale.

The Falcons come into a game needing a win in a really bad way while already entering the sixth week of action around the league. Atlanta has lost three straight games and has kicked off the season losing four of its first five contests.

At 1-4 overall going into the showdown against the Cardinals, the Falcons are sitting at the bottom of the NFC South division behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-3 overall), Carolina Panthers (3-2) and New Orleans Saints (4-1) ahead of them in the division standings.

A win this week could push Atlanta back into the hunt in the NFC South, although the Falcons still have a lot of work to do with a tough schedule lying ahead of them before their bye week in Week 9.

Atlanta is taking on their second straight opponent on the road, after falling to the Houston Texans in a high-scoring 53-32 defeat in Week 5 in Houston.

On the other side of the field, Arizona enters the game on Sunday afternoon after picking up its first win of the 2019 campaign in Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Cardinals came away with a 26-23 win over the Bengals on the road.

The Cardinals come back home for a home contest against the Falcons at State Farm Stadium while holding a record of 1-2-1 overall, also sitting at the bottom of the division. Arizona trails the Los Angeles Rams (3-2), Seattle Seahawks (4-1) and San Francisco 49ers (4-0) in the NFC West standings.

Sunday’s game between Atlanta and Arizona will be a big game for both teams as they both try to get a victory to save their seasons early on in the year.

Prior to the Falcons hitting the road to face off against the Cardinals in Week 6 of the season, here are three bold predictions for Atlanta as it tries to get back on track on Sunday.
