2. Demario Davis racks up double-digit tackles

To say that the Saints defense was under hyped would be a complete understatement. Thus far, the defense has arguably outperformed the offense most weeks. One part is due to the loss of Drew Brees but the other is the sheer amount of talent they have. One name that keeps coming up though is linebacker Demario Davis.

Acquired by the Saints in 2018, Davis has not only added some much-needed depth but made a splash on the Saints D. His presence is part of the reason why the defense is getting so many looks. Thus far this season, Davis has put up impressive numbers including last week where he finished the game with seven combined tackles, tallying up 28 tackles already on the year.

Against the Jaguars, I predict that Davis will finish the game with double-digit tackles for the first time this season. Additionally, I predict that Davis will get his first tackle via the Jaguars. As impactful as Davis has been, putting up big numbers against the Jaguars should be no problem for him.

Considering how close their game against the Panthers was, the Saints defense needs to be on their A-game. Not everyone can resist the power that is Gardner Minshew but Demario Davis showed that he’s more than capable to handle the mustached rookie.
