29. Washington Redskins (29)

It seems only fitting to see the Washington Redskins finally earn their first win of the 2019 season the same week after Jay Gruden was fired as head coach, but the team will take anything they can get at this point.

Even if some will try to make the case that Washington received a gift by playing a winless team in the Miami Dolphins, the Redskins aren’t in any position to be picky about wins after seeing how brutal the first five games were.

While Washington’s defense certainly deserves plenty of credit for holding Miami to just 16 points, Case Keenum and Adrian Peterson deserve just as much recognition for their big games on the offensive side of the football.

When looking at all of the drama the Redskins have been dealing with trying to figure out which quarterback to use, Case Keenum must be feeling great after completing 13 of 25 passes for 166 yards with two touchdowns (both to Terry McLaurin) to help defeat the Dolphins.

Even more impressive for Washington, Peterson looked like his old self by rushing for 118 yards on 23 carries.

Once again, it may seem difficult to get excited about a victory over a winless team in the Dolphins, but with the way 2019 has been for the Redskins, Sunday’s win should be viewed as a huge accomplishment.
