Pittsburgh Steelers: Game predictions for remainder of 2019 season
By Samuel Teets
Week 8 vs. Miami Dolphins
If the Steelers don’t win this game, the team might be forced to cancel the rest of the regular season. The Dolphins are nothing short of embarrassing. In Week 6, the Dolphins lost to the winless Washington Redskins and benched Josh Rosen after he threw two interceptions and for less than 100 yards.
Miami has the worst total defense in the NFL, allowing 439.8 yards per game. James Conner doesn’t have a 100-yard game this season and neither does JuJu Smith-Schuster. If Pittsburgh’s offense is going to have a breakout game, this will be it.

Predicted outcome: Win
Week 9 vs. Indianapolis Colts
While Jacoby Brissett isn’t consistently great, he has games where he turns it on. If the Steelers catch Brissett during one of those on weeks, Pittsburgh has no chance to win.
Indianapolis also has the fourth-best ground game in the NFL, racking up 142.0 rushing yards per game. The Steelers have the 17th ranked run defense, which allows 110.2 yards per game. Even if the Steelers somehow shut down the run attack, the Colts are just a more stable team.
Predicted outcome: Loss
Week 10 vs. Los Angeles Rams
It’s clear that the Rams aren’t the unstoppable force they were in 2018, but the team is still talented enough to easily defeat the Steelers. Only turnovers can keep the Steelers in a game like this one. Rams quarterback, Jared Goff has thrown seven interceptions and lost four fumbles this season. He’s a turnover machine and the Steelers have a ball magnet in Devin Bush.
While Pittsburgh can hang around for a while in a sloppy slugfest, the Rams have superior firepower. Eventually, they will outpace Pittsburgh’s handcuffed offense.
Predicted outcome: Loss
