Rams trade for Jalen Ramsey: Grading trade for Los Angeles, Jaguars
Rams Trade Grade – Get: Jalen Ramsey
The Los Angeles Rams have never been shy about making a big splash when it comes to trades and acquisitions. From Ndamukong Suh to Brandin Cooks to trading for Marcus Peters in the first place, if they see a game-changing player on the market, you can bet that the Rams are going to be in pursuit. Such was the case with Jalen Ramsey, clearly.

Particularly in the wake of the Peters trade earlier on Tuesday and with Aqib Talib heading to Injured Reserve, adding Ramsey completely revamps the secondary. They add another star to the mix in hopes that the new look will help a defense that, frankly, has been disappointing in 2019.
Having said that, it’s hard to believe that the addition of Ramsey (and Kenny Young, acquired in the Peters trade) are going to have an overly dramatic effect on the defense. On top of that, this is a team that has been struggling on both sides of the ball in recent weeks.
To raise further questions, the compensation the Rams are giving to the Jaguars is a huge risk. If the recent issues for LA aren’t a blip, then mortgaging two first-round picks is a devastating move.
Make no mistake, the Rams are getting a phenomenal talent in Jalen Ramsey. But situationally, there are some concerns to be raised about the trade.
