Oakland Raiders (3-2) at Green Bay Packers (5-1)

Sunday, October 20, 1PM ET

Can you believe that the Oakland Raiders would actually be in the playoffs if they were to start this weekend? I know that’s not exactly a relevant scenario to consider heading into Week 7, but it still baffles me nonetheless. I did not expect them to be sitting at 3-2 at this point in the season.

Yet here we are. With that said, I don’t think that’ll last long. Going into Lambeau Field against a dangerous Green Bay Packers team is not a favorable situation for a club that seems to look completely different from week to week. Sooner or later, that inconsistency is going to cost Jon Gruden and his Raiders.

It’s going to be quite the task for Oakland to slow down this Green Bay offense. Think they can keep Aaron Jones contained? Probably not. Even if they do, Aaron Rodgers will simply sling it and shred this 22nd-ranked pass defense. The Raiders will do their best to keep the Packers in check, but I have a hard time imagining them ultimately being successful.

Plus, this Packers defense is feisty. They’ll get after Derek Carr all day, forcing him into too many mistakes for Oakland to overcome. The Raiders will go down swinging, but Green Bay gets the win at home and maintains their lead for the NFC North crown.

Prediction: Packers win 27-23
