Uniform of the Week: Los Angeles Chargers

I’ll give some props to the Cardinals for their black jerseys, though white pants and an abysmal gray facemask were not a good look. As I’ve said before, the Chargers’ uniforms are the best in the NFL. Those powder blue tops with yellow and navy accents will never disappoint.

Hands of the Week: Charvarius Ward

In a rebound week for great catches, Ward’s one-handed interception takes the cake. What makes it more impressive is that he managed to scoop the pass out of the air and to his body with only one hand, all while being draped by DeAndre Hopkins.

Soft Hands of the Week: Will Fuller

Let it be known that I am not a Will Fuller fan, even if he did post a colossal 53.7 PPR points with 217 receiving yards and three scores last week. Shout out to Dov Kleiman for making my case for me with this grim compilation. Three drops may be nothing in the grand scheme of things, but Fuller’s injuries and weekly boom-or-bust tendencies make me wary of his status as a “good receiver”.

Hit of the Week: Bilal Powell

In the most notable thing he’s done all season, Powell plowed through a cameraman when being tackled out-of-bounds. I’m not sure what’s more impressive: The cameraman filming Powell all the way through the collision or the cameraman’s bounce-back ability after falling. Bravo to the unsung heroes of football television!

N’SYNC Award: Seattle Receivers

It ain’t no lie when I say that this celebration to N’SYNC’s “Bye, Bye, Bye” was not only awesome; it was timed up beautifully, as Grace Remington proved here.

The Mighty Duck Award: Devlin Hodges

Rising from the ashes of mediocrity to prove everyone wrong on the world’s greatest stage? I’m not talking about the Mighty Ducks, I’m talking about the mighty duck-caller Devlin Hodges. The undrafted quarterback not only won his first-ever NFL game; he also won a state championship for duck-calling.

Award of Despair: NFL Referees

They won’t ever be perfect, but will they be good? The missed calls in Monday night’s game were so bad and changed the course of the game in favor of Green Bay. It’s human to make mistakes, though this is one mistake these referees may never live down.

Articles of the Week

I’m not the type of guy to go off on the officials. Instead, I left that up to Cody Williams, who had some pretty strong words after Monday night’s debacle.

Want some more insight into CeeDee Lamb? Michael Johnson explains how the dynamic receiver could jump into the top five.

This is a great discussion between Dan and Todd Salem about how to actually define what makes a good team, well, good.
