18. Bengals finally earn first win of 2019

Keeping the trend going with the Cincinnati Bengals, despite mentioning before how Week 7 could be the perfect opportunity for the Jacksonville Jaguars to get back on the winning track, this doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen.

A talented receiver like Chark could still put together a strong enough performance for the Jaguars, only to see that it still wasn’t enough to take down a Bengals team on the verge of hitting desperation mode.

By now, Cincinnati expected to have at least one or two wins under their belt after looking at all of the excitement surrounding the team in the offseason following the hiring of Zac Taylor at head coach.

Instead, the Bengals will head into Sunday’s meeting with the Jaguars still in search of Taylor’s first career victory as head coach in the NFL, one week after coming up just short on the road against the Baltimore Ravens.

As frustrating as this season has been so far in Cincinnati, it’s been even more frustrating to see four of those losses coming by single-digits.

When looking at their schedule beyond Week 7, this may be the best opportunity for the Bengals to win their first game before their bye week since the chances of this team defeating the Los Angeles Rams in London seems highly unlikely.
