5. Eric Bieniemy – Offensive Coordinator, Kansas City Chiefs

A lot of times it makes the most sense to steal from the teams that are performing well. For the Dallas Cowboys, that could lead to them looking to one of the better teams in the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Andy Reid, who was a thorn in their side for years as the Philadelphia Eagles head coach, has put together a great offense. It’s easy to look at what he’s doing and say it’s all the work of Patrick Mahomes, but Reid and the Chiefs were successful even before the 2018 NFL MVP took the reins.

Since Reid took over in 2013, the Chiefs have never won less than nine games and are 69-33 overall. One assistant who has helped him the entire time is Eric Bienemy who was a running back coach from 2013 through 2017 and is now in his second year as the offensive coordinator.

A former running back himself, Bieniemy could be an interesting hire as he could clearly get the most out of current Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott. Not only was Bienemy there to help Kareem Hunt become an NFL rushing leader in 2017 but he’s been able to make the most out of the replacements he has had since Hunt was released.

What’s been most impressive is the way he gets his running backs involved in the passing game, something the Cowboys simply don’t do enough with Zeke. They have built this team around No. 21 and someone like Bienemy could help him take his game to the next level.
