Running Backs

Start: Tevin Coleman, SF (vs. WAS)

Since coming back from injury, Coleman has two-straight games of 16+ touches, a touchdown and over 12 fantasy points. While some fantasy football owners might be worried about the timeshare in San Francisco, Coleman out-touched Matt Breida in both games. If anyone should be nervous it’s Brieda owners because Coleman is used on passing downs as well.

Running on 55 percent of their plays, the 49ers are the most run-heavy team in the league and I don’t see that changing this week. With the expected game-flow being run-heavy because of the projected score, Coleman and Brieda could both be in for big days. But I’m putting my money on Coleman as I see him getting above his projected 14.4 points in Week 7.

Sit: Damien Williams KC (vs. DEN)

Williams has struggled mightily since coming back from injury in Week 5. He only had two touches in Week 6 for 20 yards and a score that saved his fantasy day from being a complete dud. The Denver defense has been stout up front all year and, coming off a week where they held Derrick Henry to 33 total yards and 3.3 fantasy points, I don’t see Williams doing much better.

With Denver’s defense hitting their stride under Vic Fangio as of late and with three viable options in the Kansas City backfield, it’s hard to see any of the Chiefs getting the work or having the opportunities they need to be productive. Look for him to drop below his projection this week of 9.7 points.

Some replacements for Week 7: Jamaal Williams, GB (vs. OAK); Carlos Hyde, HOU (vs. IND); Frank Gore, BUF (vs. MIA).
