5. A.J. Bouye

A.J. Bouye is the last remaining Jaguars secondary player from the 2017 defense. He will be the guy assigned to guard the top receiver against opposing teams. Remember, it is highly unfair to compare Bouye to Ramsey as far as playmaking ability goes.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Bouye will be the tenacious player that will play hard throughout the game. He is a crafty seven-year veteran that has seen most every route possible to run. Bouye will have to shine in week 7.

Cincinnati has a good passing attack. Currently, they are the 12th ranked passing offense in the NFL. The Bengals are averaging 251.2 yards per game through the first six games. Tyler Boyd leads the Cincinnati receivers with 40 receptions for 416 yards. He is averaging 10.4 yards per catch. Boyd can move the chains with each reception.

Bouye has to elevate his game to contain Boyd. He, not Herndon, gets the opportunity to become the team’s shut down corner. Expect him to play admirably on the road.

Jacksonville will play some zone defense in spots. The Jaguars should not expect the defense to run him selves ragged by playing man coverage each play. Hopefully, Bouye can spark the secondary into grounding the Bengals aerial attack.
