2. Mohamed Sanu, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Keeping with the theme of teams that are in the midst of a rebuild, the Falcons could be looking to trade away any assets that could garner significant draft capital. Similarly to his teammate Austin Hooper, receiver Mohamed Sanu is nearing the end of his contract. With Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley as the team’s other two options at receiver, Sanu could be expendable.

Sanu isn’t as much of a threat as Bengals receiver A.J. Green, but he’d still serve as a legitimate No. 2 threat for the Packers once Davante Adams returns from injury. At 30 years old, he still has the capability to produce.

So far this season, Sanu has racked up 32 receptions for 310 yards and one touchdown in what’s been a lost season for the Falcons. Sanu’s best year came in 2018 when he recorded 66 receptions for 838 yards and four touchdowns.

There would be some familiarity between Green Bay and Sanu, as well. Head coach Matt LaFleur served on the Falcons coaching staff during Atlanta’s Super Bowl run in 2016, and the Packers run a similar style offense currently. Sanu would be able to acclimate quickly into the Packers offensive scheme. Perhaps a fifth-round pick would be enough to acquire Sanu from Atlanta.
