4. Raiders get off to a fast start

Against the Indianapolis Colts, the Oakland Raiders got out to a 21-10 lead going into halftime. Against the Chicago Bears in London, Oakland had a 17-0 lead at the intermission. Against the Packers this Sunday, look for the same quick start that has helped the Raiders get on top early.

It will be important to do so. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is no shrinking Lily. If Oakland can get out early and take Rodgers out of the safety of his game plan, Oakland wins this game.

In Week 7, the Raiders are showing that they are a team that can compete with anyone. They aren’t a team easily penciled in with the “L” when playing on the road in a place like Green Bay. They have a solid rushing attack, a good passing game, an offensive line and a defense who can keep them in games. That in and of itself may be why Oakland wins in Green Bay.

In Indianapolis and in London against the Bears, a good Raiders defense was central to a win. Jacoby Brissett had a good day, throwing for 265 yards and three touchdowns. Chase Daniels also had a solid performance in London. He would have 231 yards and two touchdowns in the Chicago loss. Both quarterbacks combined would also give up a total of three interceptions.

Look for the Raiders to have another fast start aided by a great defensive effort against the Packers.
