1. Tom Brady and the passing game

For a majority of the season up to this point, the Patriots offense has been one of the tops in the NFL while establishing a dominant defense on the opposite side of the ball to counter the offensive attack. That has been a very successful recipe for the defending champions entering Week 7.

Anchoring the offense has been Tom Brady’s ability to spread the ball around in the passing attack, something he’ll look to continue doing against a shaky Jets defense.

In six appearances heading into the Monday Night Football contest against the Jets, Brady has tallied 1,743 yards passing with a completion percentage of 65.4 percent. While converting on 149 of his total 228 passing attempts, Brady has thrown for an average of 7.6 yards per pass attempt with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions.

A week ago against the New York Giants, Brady tallied 334 yards while converting on 31 of his overall 41 pass attempts. He failed to reach the end zone in the passing game, although he ran for two touchdowns while throwing one interception in the win.

It will be important for Brady to get back on track and get back in the end zone on Monday night against a Jets defense that ranks 12th in the league in passing yards against per game. New York has also held opposing offenses out of the end zone for the most part through the air thus far in 2019.
