Los Angeles Chargers (2-5) at Chicago Bears (3-3)

Sunday, October 27, 1PM ET

I’m done! Every time I give the Los Angeles Chargers the benefit of the doubt and expect them to turn things around, I get burned. I’m not going to make that mistake again. While picking the Chicago Bears isn’t exactly comforting either, it seems to offer less risk at this point.

Honestly, neither of these teams have looked good lately. The Bears have dropped two straight, including an embarrasing effort against the Saints. The Chargers can’t seem to get out of their own, missing out on several opportunities to seal the deal against the Titans on Sunday. Luckily for one of these clubs, someone has to win, right?

I’m going with the Bears. I don’t have much faith in their offense, but the defense has the talent to shut the door on Philip Rivers and Co. Especially with Melvin Ingram looking like a turnover waiting to happen and Austin Ekeler struggling to get things going, Chicago’s stout defense be able to put the clamps on Los Angeles.

Still, the Bears need some sort of support from their offense. For their sake, let’s hope Mitchell Trubisky has shaken off the rust is ready to put some points on the board. Because last weekend’s effort did not inspire much confidence.

Prediction: Bears win 20-18
