19. Tannehill improves to 2-0 as Titans starter

One start doesn’t necessarily guarantee the Tennessee Titans will be good to go on offense moving forward with Ryan Tannehill, but Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers certainly gives the team plenty of reasons for excitement.

Even though the argument can be made that Marcus Mariota deserves some benefit of the doubt for the struggles on offense since the Titans didn’t exactly put him in the best position to succeed with the offensive line, Tannehill still deserves plenty of credit for his Week 7 play.

The whole point of bringing Tannehill on board in the offseason was to provide some insurance at the quarterback position since Mariota’s injuries over the years have been concerning at times.

And while plenty can happen over the next few games, Tannehill has plenty of reasons to feel confident in being able to hang on to the starting job for Tennessee.

After taking down the Chargers, Tannehill and the Titans find themselves with another dream matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are dealing with quarterback issues of their own in Jameis Winston.

If Tennessee has their way on Sunday with Tampa Bay coming to town, improving to 2-0 this year shouldn’t be a problem at all for Tannehill.
