3. Texans vs. Raiders

When looking at these two teams, if the Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders turned out to be one of the highest-scoring contests from Week 8, no one would be surprised at all.

Not to mention, with both teams coming up short last Sunday, there’s a good chance that both the Texans and Raiders will be feeling extra motivated to earn a win in Week 8.

After finishing on top of the AFC South last season, Houston is learning the hard way the path to the playoffs is going to be far from easy this time around after recently suffering a tough loss last weekend to the Indianapolis Colts.

One loss certainly doesn’t determine how the rest of the season will go, but if the Colts continue to play at a high level, the Texans may need to battle for a Wild Card spot in the AFC playoff picture.

Coincidentally, if the Raiders are going to earn one of the playoff spots in the AFC, they may need to settle for a Wild Card spot as well since they play in the AFC West with the Kansas City Chiefs.

With these factors in mind, Sunday’s game between Oakland and Houston could end up playing a key role in the playoff standings down the road.
