Stud: Bosa, DE

The No. 2 overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2019 draft, Nick Bosa has been as good as anyone could’ve hoped this season. Though he started the year banged up, he came into Sunday’s game with four sacks and 16 total tackles on the year. He bettered those numbers in a huge way as he was an unstoppable force going up against the Carolina offensive line.

As a pass-rusher, Bosa was a behemoth that could not be contained, finding his way into the backfield on what felt like every play, ending the day with three sacks. However, he wasn’t done there as he also added an interception that he capped off with a 46-yard return. The rookie was unbelievably good in a game where they needed him to step up and showed what a star he has the potential to be in this league.

Stud: Coleman, RB

For as dominant as Nick Bosa was on the defensive side of the ball for the Niners, running back Tevin Coleman might have been just as dominant on the offensive side of the ball. In actuality, Coleman continued to split time with Matt Breida, who also had a good day, and the former Falcon only touched the ball 13 times on the day. Of course, it’s what he did with those touches that matters and he more than made them count.

Coleman too 11 rushing attempts for an impressive 105 yards on the day and then found the end zone on three separate occasions on the day. For good measure, his two receptions went for 13 yards, including another trip across the goal line, giving Coleman four total touchdowns on the day. He outscored the Panthers by himself and propelled the offense with a number of big plays throughout the day, both scoring efforts and not.
