Stud: Chris Carson, RB

Last week was predictable tough for Chris Carson. Baltimore’s defense bottled the third-year running back up. He gained just 65 yards on 21 carries. The bad day snapped Carson’s streak of three consecutive weeks with at least 100 rushing yards.

However, Carson rebounded against the Falcons. While he didn’t top 100 yards, he did reach 90 rushing yards on 20 carries. He also scored a touchdown. Carson is averaging 82 rushing yards per game this season. With Wilson only throwing for 182 yards, Carson’s production was clutch against Atlanta.

Rashaad Penny also had a solid day. There have been some trade rumblings surrounding Seattle’s 2018 first-round pick. Even The Seattle Times hypothesized that the Seahawks are shopping Penny. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Rapoport initially reported the potential move.

Dud: Luke Willson, TE

With Will Dissly out for the season, the Seahawks need another pass-catcher to step up and fill his production. Willson is the most likely candidate to take over Dissly’s role, but Willson did not stand put against the Falcons.

Willson, who was with the Seahawks from 2013-2017, has a good rapport with his quarterback. However, the veteran tight end has never posted great numbers. His best season came in 2014 when he averaged 24.1 receiving yards per game. Willson has never averaged two receptions per game during a season.

With Ed Dickson and Dissly on injured reserve and Nick Vannett in Pittsburgh, Willson is Seattle’s lone true threat at tight end. He only produced one reception for seven yards against Atlanta.
