Los Angeles Chargers: Studs and duds vs. Bears in Week 8
By Kamil Roy
Stud: Joey Bosa
Building off his strong performance against the Tennessee Titans last week, defensive end Joey Bosa once again played an integral role in the strong play of the Chargers defense. Bosa essentially did what he does best: pressure the quarterback.

Once again compiling two sacks, Bosa can also be credited with forcing Mitchell Trubisky into a position where he himself fumbled the ball, allowing Melvin Ingram to recover it. Bosa also finished the game with seven tackles. For the majority of the game, the Chicago offensive line had no solution to stopping him.
After stating he wasn’t going to give up on this season following the loss to the Titans, it seems as though Bosa is backing up his words and following through with his promise.
Dud: Philip Rivers
Philip Rivers simply did not seem like himself this game. Missing end zone throws on two separate occasions, Rivers appeared to not be on the same page as his wide receivers. He finished the game 19 completions, 201 yards and a touchdown.
Despite a solid showing against the Titans last week, Rivers has been inconsistent throughout the season. Although he has shown an ability to still complete passes consistently, Rivers still struggles with decision making, having been intercepted in this game by cornerback Kyle Fuller.
Rivers was also visibly frustrated during parts of the game, as he was seen arguing on the sidelines with both officials and head coach Anthony Lynn after failing to convert on a third down.
Although Rivers did throw a touchdown pass to running back Austin Ekeler, this game against the Bears was not his best showing.
