4. Ryan Kerrigan, EDGE, Redskins

The most stubborn franchise in the NFL, it remains to be seen if Washington is going to be interested in dealing any of their assets, despite the fact that they’re a one-win team with no real direction. But if they do, Ryan Kerrigan is a veteran player that appears expendable for the Redskins and that would be an immense presence on the Oakland Raiders defense.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Kerrigan has been one of the most reliable sack-artists in the NFL throughout his career, though his production has dropped with this awful Washington team in 2019. Moving him to the Raiders, however, could spark him back up and really bolster this defense in a way they need for a playoff push. He’d probably be expensive for Washington to part with him but he’d also likely be worth it.

3. Alec Ogletree, LB, Giants

The Giants have been sending mixed signals ahead of the NFL Trade Deadline, rumored to be sellers but then making a deal with the Jets for Leonard Williams. Even still, at 2-6, you have to figure they are still going to be selling. That means the Raiders could look to address a lacking group of linebackers by targeting a player like Alec Ogletree.

Make no mistake, Ogletree isn’t going to come to Oakland and be Luke Kuechly. He’s simply not that caliber of player. At the same time, though, he’s a proven veteran that has been effective on NFL defenses throughout his career. The Raiders don’t have many players like that either on the roster or healthy at linebacker right now, making Ogletree an enticing target for them.
