2020 NFL Mock Draft: Chargers grab Jalen Hurts, Jerry Jeudy to Redskins

Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen are not the answer at quarterback. The Miami Dolphins surely knew that about Fitzpatrick when the season began but they did have some hope that Rosen could end up being the guy. However, the former No. 10 overall pick — who Miami added this season in a draft-day trade with Arizona — hasn’t looked the part.

In five appearances and three starts, the former UCLA product completed just 53.2 percent of his passes for 567 yards with a touchdown and five interceptions. That makes it questionable whether or not he will be on the team in 2020.
What’s not questionable is the fact that they’re going to take a quarterback with the No. 1 pick — assuming they do end up with that selection. In this 2020 NFL Mock Draft, they grab Tua Tagovailoa from Alabama to be the face of their franchise.
Tagovailoa has thrown for 6,768 yards with an incredible 81-to-10 touchdown to interception ratio. He could finally end the revolving door at quarterback that’s been going on in South Beach ever since Dan Marion retired.
Joe Burrow is getting all the attention but Justin Herbert has been performing at a higher level longer than he has. That’s why the Oregon product finds himself going second overall in this mock. The question is whether or not that’s a good thing for him as he lands with the Cincinnati Bengals.
For whatever reason, this franchise has been snake-bitten for years and they just can’t seem to get out of their own way. Perhaps Herbert can reverse the trend, or maybe he will be another good player who can’t fix this team.
