DraftKings NFL Picks, Week 9: Best bargains in DFS play

Quarterbacks
No one’s happier to put Halloween in the rearview than Sam Darnold (NYJ at MIA, $5,900), who recently saw ghosts during a night game against the Patriots. Put him in your lineup this weekend and stack him with Le’Veon Bell (NYJ at MIA, $7,700) and your choice of one of the other New York Jets weapons we’ll cover later.

Jacoby Brissett (IND at PIT, $5,600) is seemingly a weekly feature in this column, as he never seems to get the respect he deserves from a pricing standpoint, given the high floor his mobility brings. Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich has proven that he likes to keep it on the ground, so Brissett may find himself moving chains with his legs more often than in past weeks, especially with T.Y. Hilton, his top aerial weapon, grounded.
Derek Carr (OAK vs. DET, $5,500) has two reliable weapons in the form of top-shelf tight end Darren Waller (OAK vs. DET, $6,300) and wideout Tyrell Williams (OAK vs. DET, $5,900). They make a nice trio for DFS players to stack against a toothless Detroit Lions defense, leaving plenty of room for top-tier running back talent.
Mason Rudolph (PIT vs. IND, $5,000) is no threat to lead the league in fantasy points in Week 9, but he’s a fine value for the price. JuJu Smith-Schuster (PIT vs. IND, $6,300) finally had his breakout game, and represents solid value himself, and is a respectable play this week. However, Diontae Johnson (PIT vs. IND, $4,500) has consistently been Rudolph’s favorite target to date, and offers even greater value for the price.
Ryan Fitzpatrick (MIA vs. NYJ, $4,800) is as boom or bust as it gets from the quarterback position, but finds himself with a favorable match-up. He’ll move the ball downfield when Mark Walton can’t, and therefore makes a nice, low-budget stack with wide receivers Devante Parker (MIA vs. NYJ, $4,400) and Preston Williams (MIA vs. NYJ, $4,200), each of whom is a high floor, bargain bin prospect in his own right.
