Stud: Mohamed Sanu

Mohamed Sanu, which was acquired in a trade from the Atlanta Falcons prior to the NFL Trade Deadline, had a breakout game for the Patriots on Sunday night while looking to be getting comfortable within the New England offense.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Sanu led the wide receiving group against the Ravens with a total of 81 yards receiving on 10 receptions and a team-high 14 targets overall. With an average of 8.1 yards per catch, Sanu also finished the game with the lone receiving touchdown for the Patriots in the loss on the road.

It was good to see Sanu get into the mix of things and provide Tom Brady and the rest of the New England offense with another option to go along with Julian Edelman in the wideout group on the Patriots.

Dud: Slow start to the game

In primetime, the Patriots fell behind early on in the game and had a hard time trying to fight back into the game on the road against a tough team in the Ravens. It felt like as soon as New England fell behind by 17 points at one point in the second quarter, being outscored 17-0 by Baltimore, that the Patriots just couldn’t grab any momentum to try and put together a comeback in the Week 9 matchup.

So far this season, we have seen New England get off to a hot start and a quick start while trying to grab any momentum early on in games, but on Sunday Night Football, the Patriots failed to do so.
