31. New York Jets (25)

Heading into the recent trade deadline, the New York Jets were one of the most talked about teams. They were expected to be having a fire sale as they built for the future. Players such as Robby Anderson and Leonard Williams were on the market and there were also rumors that both safeties Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye were on the block.

In the end, only Williams was traded as he was sent to the New York Giants — so at least he can continue to play at MetLife Stadium. As for the other players, no news broke on Maye and they seemed to think way too highly of Anderson as rumors suggested they wanted a second-round pick for him.

As for Adams, they claim he was never shopped but the Dallas Cowboys were calling anyway. New York wanted a huge haul for him and no deal came through due to the asking price.

Once all that dust settled, Adam Gase and his team had to face the franchise he coached the previous three seasons — the Miami Dolphins. New York was favored as Miami entered the game with a record of 0-7 but things got ugly for them as Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three touchdowns in the second quarter.

Miami was in control throughout and won 26-18. It messed up their shot at getting the No. 1 overall pick, but for the Jets, they’re now in the mix which could be a good thing due to the amount of help they need.
