3. Jacobs tops 100 yards for fourth time

The single greatest success story for the Oakland Raiders is rookie running back Josh Jacobs. He’s a legitimate offensive threat that has allowed Oakland to expand what Derek Carr does and what head coach Jon Gruden can all from his playsheet. He is likely the team MVP and the single biggest reason the Raiders might be in the playoffs.

He’s money. He’s also why Oakland might win in Week 10.

The Raiders are a lot of things offensively in 2019. One big reason for this is Jacobs. He’s been a solid contributor all season and in eight games, he’s contributed 740 rushing yards and six touchdowns. He’s also had 11 catches for 102 yards.

Against the Chargers, expect a big game. The Los Angeles defense has allowed 114 rushing yards in nine weeks, ranking 13th in the NFL. Jacobs, who is a tough and durable running back, can grind with the best of them and will challenge the Chargers defenders.

This is the second of three for the Raiders at home in November. Against the Detroit Lions, Jacobs racked up 120 yards on 28 carries, and added two touchdowns en route to Oakland’s 31-24 win. If the Raiders are to move to 5-4 and 2-1 in the division, it’ll come on the shoulders of Jacobs.
