2. Demario Davis

Moving to the defensive side of the ball, there are a handful of guys who have really stepped up their game this season. Every week, it gets harder to decide who gets to be on my list. If there’s one player who has been the MVP this season, it has to be Demario Davis. While Cameron Jordan is credited as the leader of the defense, no one has made a bigger impact than Demario Davis.

Thus far this season, Davis has 52 combined tackles and three stuffs for 10 yards. Considering how big and athletic Davis is, it’s not surprising that he’s accumulated so many tackles. Since joining the Saints last season, Davis has been a major factor in their defense being heled in such high regard.

Looking back at his first game against the Falcons, Davis finished the game with nine combined tackles which were pretty impressive as it was his third game as a Saint.

Since their last meeting, Davis has grown even better as a player so he was a shoo-in as a guy who must shine against the Falcons. Even though he is known for his tackles, Davis can also get pressure on Matt Ryan.

While most of the glory goes to guys like Cameron Jordan, Marshon Lattimore and Sheldon Rankins, Demario Davis is one of the most underrated guys on the defense and he’s going to make sure the Falcons don’t underestimate him.
