3. Drew Brees

No surprise that this list is starting off with Drew Brees. Despite his injury in week 2, Drew Brees came back better than ever in week 8. It was truly magical to watch him and see him make those key throws. Even so, that doesn’t negate any of what Teddy Bridgewater did. As good as Bridgewater was, there’s truly no one else out there like Drew Brees.

Looking back at their first meeting last season, Brees had a great game. He finished that game with 39 of his 49 passes completed, threw for just shy of 400 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for two touchdowns as well.

In their first meeting in 2018, Drew Brees was basically on fire and on the money the entire game. After a loss to the Bucs, it was a big divisional game and Brees showed up.

While I don’t think he’ll put up such large numbers, Brees holds the key to the team getting a win. The defense and special teams have been bailing them out the past few weeks so it’s finally time for Brees to step up and return the favor. Last week, he had an incredible stat line against the Cardinals and it looks like he’s going to do the same against the Falcons.

Injuries may have plagued a lot of quarterbacks this season, but it’s nice to see that Drew Brees is back to his old self. While it might not be good news for the Falcons, it’s great news for the Saints. No doubt that Brees is going to shine against the Falcons so he had to make the list.
