1. Alvin Kamara

Last but certainly not least is a player who was also dealing with an injury. While it seemed like the Saints were once again doomed with another star, they had a backup plan. Thankfully though, Alvin Kamara wasn’t out as long as Drew Brees. Rather, Kamara only missed two weeks and Latavius Murray was an incredible stand-in in the wake.

However, it looks like Kamara is poised for a Week 10 return. Thus far this season, Kamara has been good but not great. He has yet to eclipse 100 yards in a game this season. Considering how dynamic he was last season, it’s a little bit disappointing.

Against the Falcons, Kamara has a chance to prove that he’s healthy and that he can finish a game with over 100 yards rushing. The closest he’s gotten this season is 97 yards against the Texans.

Against the Falcons, I look for Kamara to have a big game. With Brees back, he’s going to rely more on Kamara as intended. While he’s a good receiver, Brees has a lot of guys he can throw the ball to. Coupled with an extra week of rest, Kamara has the potential to be even better than he was in the first half of the season.

Considering that the Falcons have only won one game, there’s no telling what kind of numbers the Saints offense and defense are going to put up.
